The exhibition focuses on one of the many unexplored aspects of the architect’s work: the design of domestic environments in the city, shaped through a meticulous process of refinement. This process operates both on recurring spatial invariants in Magistretti's language (stairs, fireplaces, shaped openings, etc.) and on the furniture design.

Nine large furnished apartments and the living units of three condominium buildings in Milan and the new districts will be presented in three different phases. This presentation is part of a work in progress: an evolving exhibition. While maintaining the critical interpretation categories of the individual projects, the exhibition will show the public specific variations of each one. It will continue to renew itself throughout the year of opening, with new and previously unseen materials displayed in rotation.
