NOBU AT ELBA.
REDUX
Giovanni Frangi
Palazzo Citterio, Milan, 2025
A new act of birth defines the project: an immersive capsule within Sala Stirling that allows the original work to rise again, not as a replica, but as a transformed presence shaped by dialogue with architecture.
The concrete volume, the monumental column, the light — nothing remains neutral.
The work negotiates space, demanding autonomy while remaining permeable, creating a threshold where visitors shift from observers to participants.
Between Artist, Curator, and Designer a “Third” emerges — a new field of meaning where the past is not restored, but reimagined.
Nobu at Elba becomes both guest and mirror: it reveals the power of Stirling’s room while softening it, exposing its tension and offering a new landscape of perception.
Not concealment.
Not confrontation.
Relationship.
