Takashi Homma Padiglione dell’Esprit Nouveau, Bologna, 2021

At the heart of Foto/Industria 2021 is the food industry, a theme of fundamental importance due to its inextricable link to wider questions of philosophy and biology, history and science, politics and economics.

This exhibition, conceived for the Esprit Nouveau Pavilion designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, combines two projects created by the Japanese photographer over a large period of time, between 2000 and 2018.

The installation deals with the pavilion with delicacy, approaching its architecture and existing furnishings. By the use of reflecting elements on which images by the Japanese artist are displayed, the original space is duplicated on the foreground of the exhibition.
